Traffic on L.B. Scott Road was interrupted on Monday evening when a black Mitsubishi Outlander heading toward Star Mart collided head-on with a grey Toyota Yaris making a left turn into a side road. The impact was so severe that the driver of the black SUV was knocked unconscious and his vehicle travelled more than 150 feet farther down the road to the entrance of the Cake House Bakery parking lot.
The driver of the Yaris walked away unharmed while the driver of the SUV regained consciousness minutes after the accident with injuries from his seat belt. He was transported to St. Maarten Medical Center for further treatment.
