Math art

Mathematics students competed in the world-wide Kangaroo Mathematics art competition in March. This competition is based on the very successful Australian Mathematics Competition which has been running since 1980.

In 1995 the organisation AKSF (Association Kangourou sans Frontières) was established in France with The Netherlands as a foundation member. The name Kangaroo was taken to honour the origin of the competition. The Mathematics art competition had thousands of submissions and 100 students were selected as winners of the national competition. For the first time, St. Dominic High first-form students Riya Dayalani and Chirag Ramchandani were selected among the 100 students for their art work. The school’s Math Department head and Math teacher congratulated the two for their achievement.
