Medical clinic for uninsured

WILLEMSTAD--Curaçao has a new clinic. Just beyond the Zuikertuintje roundabout, “Salú pa Nos Tur” (Health for Us All) foundation opened their doors to people who lack medical insurance.

The clinic will offer first-line care especially to the many Venezuelans now residing illegally on the island due to the ongoing crisis in their neighbouring homeland.

The initiative came from Elisa Janszen, a doctor who works at St. Elisabeth Hospital. She says that the group of undocumented foreigners does not have access to health care because they cannot afford it.
