MPC students can get books as of Monday

SOUTH REWARD--Milton Peters College (MPC) students will be able to collect their schoolbooks for the 2018-2019 academic year on different days and times throughout next week, starting Monday, August 6.

On Monday, August 6, H/V1 students can collect their books from 8:00 to 11:00am; H/V2 students can collect their books from 11:00am to 2:00pm and H3 and V3 students can collect their books from 2:00 to 5:00pm.

On Tuesday, August 7, VSBO-PKL/PBL1 students can collect their books from 8:00 to 11:00am and VSBO-PKL/PBL2 students can collect their books from 11:00am to 2:00pm.

On Wednesday, August 8, CCSLC1 and VSBO-TKL1 students can collect their books from 8:00 to 11:00am; CCSLC2 and VSBO-TKL2 students can collect their books from 11:00am to 2:00pm and CCSLC3 students can collect their books from 2:00 to 5:00pm.

On Thursday, August 9, VSBO-TKL3 and VSBO-TKL4 students can collect their books from 8:00 to 11:00pm; PKL/PBL3 students can get their books from 11:00am to 2:00pm and PKL/PBL4 students can get their books from 2:00 to 5:00pm.

On Friday August 10, HAVO4/ VWO4 students can collect their books from 8:00am to 12:00noon; HAVO5/ VWO5 students can collect their books from 12:00noon to 3:00pm and VWO6 students can collect their books from 3:00 to 5:00pm.

MPC said all fees for the Educational Material Book Funds (EMBF) for the school year 2018-2019, including prior outstanding fees, must be paid in full to collect the schoolbooks. “If you are unable to make the full payment then you can pay in instalments.” To pay in instalments, parents must first contact the school’s financial administrator Janice James at the School Board SVOBE office in the Sundial School compound.

Payment receipts must show the child’s name, the school that he or she is attending and the class that he or she is in. To avoid discrepancies, parents are asked to take their payment receipts when collecting the schoolbooks.

For the following students, school will start on the dates mentioned below. Therefore, they ought to report to school at 7:30am.

On Monday, August 13, VSBO-TKL (all first and second graders), VSBO-PKL/PBL (all first and second graders) and HAVO (all first, second and third graders) students should report to school at 7:30am.

On Tuesday, August 14, all students (from all classes) are to report to school, as there will be an introduction programme the entire week.

From August 13 to August 17, classes will end at 12:30pm. During the introduction period books can only be picked up after 12:30pm.

Normal classes will resume for all MPC students as of August 20. Students are required to wear the MPC school uniform, and during gym they should wear the MPC gym wear. Both the uniform and the gym wear can be obtained from the school’s Parent Teachers Association (PTA) on August 4, 11, 18 and 25 and September 1 and 8.

Only black shoes are allowed with the MPC uniform. For gym, only the MPC gym wear and sneakers are allowed.

MPC will be hosting a Sports Day on Friday, August 17, for all first-grade students, supervised by the gym teachers, the class mentors and senior students from H4A. These students are to report to school at the regular time and will be transported by bus to the sports complex for a day of sports and various activities. They will return to school at 1:00pm. MPC said it is mandatory that all students attend. Students are also required to walk with their MPC gym wear, extra beverages, and lunch.
