Navy intercepts drugs shipment

Boarding the suspect vessel

PHILIPSBURG-Earlier this week the Royal Navy's station ship of turn to the Dutch Caribbean intercepted a Venezuelan drug transport. The boat was sailing between Haiti and the Windward Islands with more than 60 kilos of cocaine aboard.

The street value of the confiscated drugs is close to 7 million Antillean guilders. The crew was arrested and together with the coke passed on to the local authorities in St. Maarten.
