ST. EUSTATIUS--The Fire Department in St. Eustatius received a new crash tender. The vehicle arrived on the island on Wednesday.

Firefighters were fearful that the vehicle with license plate number CT 26-02 would not be able to manoeuvre through the streets of Oranjestad from Charles A. Woodley pier as some streets are narrow and lined by overhanging trees, but the crash tender was able to reach the fire station in Concordia without difficulty.

The older crash tender CT 01 has been in service for more than 20 years. It was utilized by the old fire station and at the present fire station.
