PJIA security chief arrested for bribery

PHILIPSBURG--The Anti-Corruption Task Force TBO detained head of Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIA) Chief of Security J.S. (48) at his home on Wednesday.

  The airport management was shocked to hear the news of the long-time employee being arrested.

  According to TBO spokesman Roderick Gouverneur, J.S. is suspected of accepting bribes, money-laundering and complicity in violation of the duty to register foreign exchange.

  TBO officers searched his home and workplace on Wednesday. J.S. will remain in custody and there was no comment from the airport management about their chief of security.
