POND ISLAND/PARIS--Prime Minister Leona Romeo-Marlin and Justice Minister Cornelius de Weever are on a working visit to Paris for high-level meeting of the Dutch and French sides of the island together with the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Republic of France.
Thursday's annual meeting will deal with cross -border issues and mutual resolutions (where necessary), cross-border projects and existing agreements on cooperation. A purpose of the meeting is the familiarisation with cooperation actors.
The St. Maarten delegation includes representatives of the Foreign Affairs Department and the Justice Department.
In Romeo-Marlin's absence, newly appointed Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Wycliffe Smith serves as acting prime minister.
