SYNOPSIS:
The tightening pressure gradient across the region will maintain brisk winds and elevated seas. Also, a fast moving tropical wave will bring in periods of increased cloudiness and passing showers this afternoon. By tonight, an air mass with varying concentrations of Saharan dust will settle over the region producing hazy conditions.
Sea conditions are expected to become occasionally rough, particularly along the eastern coastline during the next several days. Consequently, a Small Craft Advisory is in effect for St. Maarten. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
