This afternoon through Thursday midday: Generally cloudy with isolated showers and possible isolated thunderstorms.

This afternoon through Thursday midday: Southeast to south with a light air to gentle breeze of 01 to 10 miles per hour, becoming variable at times.

SYNOPSIS: 
A tropical wave interacting with an upper level low pressure system is increasing moisture and instability across the region. As a result, cloudiness with showers and possible isolated thunderstorms can be expected across the local area.
Meanwhile,  seas will remain slight to moderate for the next few days, with waves peaking near 7 feet today.

STATE OF THE SEA: Slight to Moderate      WAVES/SWELLS: 4 to 7 feet

SPECIAL FEATURE:  
At 11:00 AM, a new tropical depression formed in the southwestern Caribbean.  Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph (55 km/h) with higher gusts. The depression is expected to become a tropical storm later today or tonight.

THIS SYSTEM DOES NOT POSE ANY THREAT TO ST. MAARTEN.

OUTLOOK through Friday midday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated showers.
