This afternoon through Friday midday: Southeasterly with a light to gentle breeze of 04 to 10 mph, becoming lighter and variable at times.

SYNOPSIS:  
A relatively drier atmosphere will prevail and limit significant precipitation. However, the southerly wind flow pushing low level moisture across the local area may trigger a few local showers.

Marine conditions will continue to improve during this forecast period. Seas are expected to remain below 5 feet before easterly swells begin to invade local waters on Saturday.

STATE OF THE SEA:  Slight                         WAVES/SWELLS: 2 to 4 feet

SPECIAL FEATURES: 
At 11:00 am, Hurricane Lorenzo became a category 4 hurricane over the Central Atlantic. Lorenzo is predicted to remain over the open Atlantic waters.
This system does not pose a threat to St. Maarten
