SYNOPSIS:
An active tropical wave will account for cloudiness and showers mostly across the southern part of the region. Nevertheless, brisk winds and pockets of moisture embedded in the wind flow, could trigger a few passing showers across the local area. Additionally, varying concentrations of Saharan dust will continue to affect the region.
Seas are expected to peak up to 7 feet during the next few days. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution.
STATE OF THE SEA: Moderate WAVES/SWELLS: 5 to 7 feet
SPECIAL FEATURE:
- Showers and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave are
affecting portions of the Lesser Antilles. Some gradual development of this
system is possible during the next several days. Regardless of development, this system will likely produce unsettled weather across portions of the Windward and Leeward Islands today.

- Another tropical wave is located over the eastern tropical Atlantic Ocean, is expected to move very slowly for the next several days and some development is possible later this week.

The Meteorological Department of St Maarten will continue to monitor these systems and update the public accordingly.
