The event, which was organised to honour the esteemed Reverend and his wife, featured performances by various groups of pupils, including a welcome performance by group two, a heart-warming rendition in song by group five, and a choral speech presentation by group seven.

The opening prayer by Rev. Liana Richardson-Woods set the tone for the programme that celebrated the couple’s contribution to the institution.

Messages of congratulations were conveyed by several guests during the event, including the Executive Director, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, a Methodist Agogic Center-Comprehensive Secondary Education (MAC-CSE) representative, and Rev. John A. Gumbs Campus School Manager. One of the highlights of the programme was the presentation of a plaque to the founder by the adjunct school manager.

In his response, Reverend Gumbs gave some encouraging remarks and urged pupils to always be mindful of the institution’s vision and purpose.

The programme was brought to a close by Reverend Javed Intiaz, who pronounced the benediction.

Afterward, staff used the opportunity to meet and greet and share in a photo moment with the founder and his wife.

The school thanked all staff, pupils and guests who made the event possible, including the James family and Josephine Connor-Gumbs, daughter of Reverand Gumbs. This moment will forever be etched in their minds as a most memorable and cherished one.
