Solar bus stops

The solar-powered bus stop shelters to be developed free of charge by new company Adopt- A-Stop; will mirror a Caribbean creole design. The shelters will be scattered around the country and will be based on a memorandum of understanding signed with the company by Spatial Development Minister Christophe Emmanuel. The company will finance the shelters via advertising. They will be constructed from materials that withstand a tropical climate and vandalism. They will have solar lighting and USB ports to charge mobile devices. There will be no feeding of electricity to the power grid at any point in time. Emmanuel plans to name the bus shelters after persons who made a difference in the neighbourhoods.
