ST. EUSTATIUS--St. Eustatius Housing Foundation (SHF) former director Ricardo Fortin Sr. was honoured by SHF staff members. Fortin started working at the housing foundation in November 2002 and retired as the foundation’s director in March 2020.
Fortin’s former colleagues got together to show their appreciation for the years they had been working together with him, through the good and the bad. Fortin was presented with a plaque by his former colleagues at the SHF.
He expressed his “sincere” appreciation to the entire staff at SHF for their thoughtfulness, which he said will always be remembered and treasured. “You all brought tears to my eyes, but happy tears with gratitude, which will live with me for the rest of my days/years, whichever God may grant me,” Fortin said.
He wished the staff members many more years at SHF. “You were all staff members that took your task very seriously and always cooperated without hesitation. I trust the new management will be convinced and value such,” Fortin said.
