ST. EUSTATIUS--St. Eustatius Utility Company STUCO has made it known that it will be ending the water-rationing that has been ongoing for the past couple of months. The utility company has decided to provide drinking water to the public continuously on a 24-hour basis.
STUCO said it will continue to monitor the tap-water consumption while keeping a vigilant eye out for any new leaks on the water transport pipeline and will do all possible to keep its three water plants running continuously to meet its customers’ demand for water.
The company extended its apologies for any inconvenience the water rationing has caused to the general public.
STUCO is carrying out different projects to resolve the structural deficit with its water supply which it hopes will put an end to the need for water rationing in the future. The projects are scheduled to be completed in October.
