Taloula Mango’s/Blue Bitch earns back-to-back TripAdvisor Awards

PHILIPSBURG--Taloula Mango’s/Blue Bitch Bar once again received a TripAdvisor Award of Excellence for 2017. The Boardwalk Boulevard restaurant has been receiving the award since 2013.

This is the time of the year that TripAdvisor announces its award recipients and only the best on the island gain Certificate of Excellence recognition. TripAdvisor honours hospitality businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travellers.

Norman Wathey, co-owner of Taloula Mango’s along with his wife Su, pointed out that with 841 reviews Taloula Mango’s is among the most reviewed on the island.

“We do not ask guests to give us a good review, so all of our reviews are genuine. We are very proud to get the Award of Excellence once again. The restaurant business is a competitive environment and we must always strive to stay ahead and the award proves that,” said Wathey.

“Much of the award has to do with our staff. They’re sincere, friendly, dedicated and a potpourri of the Caribbean. Some staff members have been with us since we opened our doors on January 10, 2004. Quite a number of the positive reviews mention the staff as family and the reason to go back to Taloula Mango’s,” stated a proud Su Wathey.

In addition, Ricky Da Phox, the island’s foremost soca performer, has been entertaining Boardwalk Boulevard visitors with his unique brand of energetic and comedic style for the past 10 years.

“So all around, we offer visitors a complete island experience and once again TripAdvisor thinks so too,” Norman Wathey added.

The Certificate of Excellence is based on the quality, quantity and recentcy of reviews submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
