Tanks repaired

Repairs to the Guana Bay water tanks (above) will be finalised by June 14, according to a release from GEBE on Tuesday.

The Guana Bay tanks were damaged during Hurricane Irma and distribution of water to Dutch Quarter, Oyster Pond, Belvedere and parts of Sucker Garden was minimally interrupted. However, the tanks required some repairs to be in full operation. After completion of the repairs the water will be tested by the GEBE water quality control. Once the tanks are fully repaired, the temporary reverse osmosis plant (below) that was constructed outside the Festival Village with a holding tank in Madame Estate will be discontinued on June 14. Persons with any questions can contact the GEBE Customer Care Department at 1-721-546-1100 or 546-1160.
