Philipsburg Seventh Day Adventist Church recently celebrated Community Services Day with the launch of a “Kitchen Garden Project” by the church’s Health Ministries Department.
The initiative, spearheaded by Jacky Barry and team, is aimed at encouraging church members and the wider community to grow more food by starting kitchen gardens regardless of available space. Church elder Alphaeus Tatem spoke about seeds distributed as part of the project. The budding gardeners also got hands on help to build their planter boxes under the guidance of experienced carpenters.
