Temporary ban on swimming at Long Bay, Baie aux Prunes

MARIGOT--As part of the rehabilitation work carried out by the Établissement des Eaux et de l’Assainissement de St. Martin (EEASM) on the Pointe des Canonniers aux Terres-Basses wastewater treatment plant, the Collectivité has issued a temporary ban on swimming that is in effect from today Monday, October 21.

It will remain in force until at least the beginning of November.

Swimming is prohibited for the beaches of Baie aux Prunes and Baie Longue and for the Pointe des Canonniers. The lifting of the ban will be reported by decree and after analysis attesting to the good quality of the bathing water.

Users of the beaches in Terres-Basses are asked to respect the instructions given by this territorial order. The Collectivité thanks the public for its understanding.
