Tender process started for dump management

POND ISLAND--The Ministry of Environment and Infrastructure VROMI has started the public tender process for a new management company for the dump. The management will be paid for by government.

  The scope of work for the management is monitoring and registration of incoming waste streams, providing fire suppression support and coordination, providing reports and coordination with authorities, levelling and compaction of waste and covering waste with soil or ADC, maintaining access roads and boundary fencing, emergency response on demand, daily coordination of the activities on the landfill and all other relevant activities.

  Information about the works can be obtained only digitally by sending a request to the Ministry (see tender advertisement) as of today, December 11.

  An information meeting about the tender will be held at the Office of VROMI’s Department of Infrastructure Management at Soualiga Boulevard 1 on January 10. The minutes of the information meeting and memorandum of amendments will be provided to attendees via e-mail at least seven days before tender date.

  A tender bid must be submitted in a closed envelope clearly marked “Management Sanitary Landfill 2019” at the Ministry on January 31, 2019, on the date and time mentioned in the tender announcement. The doors to the tender hall will be closed at 10:00am. All participants should be present and should have submitted their bids prior to this time. Envelopes will be opened and bids will be announced during the tender session.
