Unlicensed police cars

Residents are concerned that police are using Netherlands vehicles on the street without proper local insurance and licence plates. “How can the police get a vehicle from the Netherlands and just start driving it without the proper paperwork, but yet they want to stop you and give you a hard time for small offences,” said one resident. The vehicles were part of Dutch assistance sent on the Navy ship “Karel Doorman” two weeks ago. Police spokesman Chief Inspector Ricardo Henson said on Thursday that the cars are in use and are quite instrumental for the daily operations of the police.
