Please allow me some space in your newspaper to address Minister of Justice Dennis Richardson.
Thank you Minister Richardson for putting the ego-tripper Attorney General Schramm in his place.
It is unheard of for a man in his position and with his responsibility to be repeating what the politicians in the Netherlands are proclaiming every chance they get. It seems to me that both Schramm and the Head of Police in the Netherlands Bosman are acting as agents provocateurs to get the politicians of this island so riled up that the next they will do is call for independence. So transparent is their behaviour.
So, Dennis and politicians, don'' let these kinds of actions get under your skin. St. Maarten will clean up its act without these tactics from the Dutch, and if the island is to become independent, it will be in our own time and based on the desire of the people and not because they were provoked to go that way.
