Wake up, Prime Minister!

Dear Editor,
There are some members of parliament who don’t have a clue of what it takes to represent the people of this country. Our taxpayer’s money is clearly being wasted on these MPs.

One went on Facebook and claimed #stability and made himself the laughingstock of this country. Reactions from some quick-witted people on FB forced him to delete his post quickly.
Another MP has his questions written out for him by another MP, because apparently he can’t come up with his own questions. But it appears that he can’t even read these questions correctly. On top of that there is a prison sentence hanging above his head. Will the PO save us from this MP?
Then there is another MP who’s just a puppet of his brother and who clearly doesn’t add any value being in Parliament.
We also have two older MPs, one who’s mostly hibernating and who woke up in one of the last meetings of Parliament, just to defend the wrongdoings of a minister of his party. The sad thing was that he didn’t even know what the topic of this meeting was. The other one came to the meeting without reading the report of the Ombudsman that was being discussed, but still decided to speak and utter all kind of nonsense.
All of these MPs have one thing in common. They can’t think for themselves and are being manipulated by one MP: MP R. Brison who will crawl in bed with anyone, just to hold on to political power.
If you were involved in a dubious case at an airline company and this issue has not been resolved yet, if you choose not to attend an important meeting for the country but instead chose to party with celebrities in a local night club, if you were caught on tape raging and disrespecting an MP from your coalition who’s a woman and also the highest vote-getter of your own party, if you blame your wrongful behaviour on mental health issues, then you have no business being a representative of our people.
Thank God for MP G. Heyliger taking the role of PoP and putting him in his place when he tries his usual manipulative tricks on the floor of Parliament.
What MP Brison didn’t reckon with is that there are more educated and smarter MPs in Parliament now, who he can’t fool or manipulate. He used to be the one-eyed king in the land of the blind, but politicians like him and his “Young boys clique” – that was recently expanded with 2 more members – are what will tear St. Maarten down.
Prime Minister, please open your eyes, like the good MP L. Duncan thankfully did, and stop holding a hand above the head of this MP who seems to have a Napoleon-complex. He and his Young Boys will be the downfall of this country.
