A total of 19,000 athletes are competing in the Individual Men category. St. Maarten’s
Vasco Daal was ranked 264th last week but dropped to 594. However Alan Schet moved up from 281st to 187 and Cameron Hyman jumped from 1938th to 1577.
Daal also competes in the Masters Men, age 35-39.  He dropped from 21 to 44 this week out of 3279.

This week the athletes had 13 minutes to complete as many rounds of deadlifts, wall-ball shots,
calorie row and handstand push-ups.
The CrossFit Open is a three stage competition. The first is a five-week five –workout competition via the internet.  Workouts are released on a Thursday and athletes have until Monday to do the workouts and submit their time.
The top scores from each region advance to the second round.
The athletes from two to three regions are grouped together to compete in a three day live competition starting in May with the top five moving on.
The final will be held in August. Each year the competition changes, so the athletes do not know what challenges they will have. The winners are crowned Fittest on Earth.
Spectators are welcome to watch the competition Friday from 6:00 to 7:00pm, Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00am, Sunday from 10:00 to 11:00am and last chance Monday from 6:00 to 7:00pm.
CrossFit SXM is supported in the open by Laboratorio de Medicos, Curacao; Loumi Administrative NV; GEBE; Pineapple Pete and Sushitto.
