Dynamic Sporting Club dominates Starters

PHILIPSBURG--St. Maarten’s Dynamics Sporting Club won 29 at the 6th annual Starters Invitational Track & Field Championship in Anguilla over the weekend.


  Dynamics with a team of 16 athletes won 17 gold, five silver, and seven bronze medals.  Traveling with the team were four coaches and 15 supporters.
  “Over the years Anguilla has dominated St. Maarten in athletics but this year was not the case,” beamed Dynamics’ Coach Abdule Wattley.
  “During the event the announcer stood up and stated ‘they did not know St. Maarten has such quality and talented athletes” which motivated and sparked them to perform even better,” said Wattley.
   Meddlers for Dynamics were: Schnelle Campbell  two gold in the U-9 Girls 80m and 150m, Chardae Richardson won gold in the Girls U-9 300M.
   In the boys U-9 Kyle Kwidama won two medals gold in the 150m and silver in the 80m. Titus Richardson won  bronze in the 80m.
   In the Girls U-11 Rovienska Vis won two medals, silver in the 100M and gold in the 4x100m u-13.
  In the Boys U-11 Carlson Brison won  five medals, gold in the 800m, gold in the Long Jump, gold in the 4X100 Relay( U-15), silver in the 400m, and bronze in the 100m.
  In the Girls U-13 Chanel Richardson won four gold medals, 100m, 200m, 400m, and 4x100m Relay (U-13.) She also broke meet records in all three sprinting events. Sebastiana Reyes won three medals, gold in the Long Jump, gold in the 4x100m Relay (U-13), and bronze in the 200m. Jay Ambris won gold in the 4x100 Relay (U13.)
  In the Boys U-13 Jemar Phillips won four gold medals, 100m, 200m, 400m, and 4x100m Relay (U15). Sylvion Martina won bronze in the 400m.
    In the Boys U-15 O’Shane Blagrove competed in his first International event won two medals, bronze in the 200m and gold in the 4X100m Relay (U-15). Malakhai Duzong won two medals, bronze in the 400m and gold in the 4x100m (U-15.)
  In the Girls U-17 Roshania Benjamin won gold in the Long Jump.
  In the Boys U-17 Denzel Washington won three medals, gold in the Long Jump, silver in the 100m, and bronze in the 200m.
  Dynamics will now be preparing for the Trupial-Auto City Track and Field Championship in Curacao July 4-8.
