Learning Unlimited wins Caribbean Gems Swim Meet

Learning Unlimited won the annual Caribbean Gems Inter-Scholastic Elementary School Swim Meet Sunday.


  Learning Unlimited took top honours with 361 points. Caribbean International Academy / Montessori finished second with 348 and St. Dominic Primary School was third with 322 points overall.
  The meet was held at Carib pool in Cole Bay and was open to primary school students age six to 12, from both the Dutch and French sides at no fee, compliments of Caribbean Gems, in an ongoing effort to promote swimming and teamwork on the island.
  A total of 136 young athletes participated representing Learning Unlimited (LU), Caribbean International Academy/Montessori (CIAM), St. Dominic Primary (SDP), Sister Regina Primary (SRP), Sister Magda Primary (SMP), Hillside Christian (HC), Methodist Agogic Center 2 (MAC2) and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr (DMLK).
  Special mention goes to seven swimmers who placed first in their 2 individual events: Maxime Gibbs, 10 (LU), Denicia Prince, 11 (SDP), Daan Vinke, 9 (CIAM), Henri Seferina, 7 (SMP), J’Aisha Jeffers, 11 (SDP), Cato De Wilde, 7 (CIAM), Aiyana Bourne, 9 (SMP).
