MAC Schools register back-to-back victories

CAY HILL--The two Methodist Agogic Centre (MAC) primary schools competing in the first Inter-Elementary Schools Netball Tournament registered wins on Sunday afternoon.


The Browlia F. Maillard Campus (BFM) and Rev. John A. Gumbs Campus (JAG) defeated Christian Hillside Primary and St. Dominic Primary, respectively.
BFM overpowered Hillside Christian Primary 7-1 and JAG outshot St. Dominic Primary 11-2.
Sister Borgia defeated St. Joseph 12-6.
The St. Maarten Netball Association has sent volunteers to eight different primary schools on the island. The eight schools are the six that played on Sunday along with St. Maarten Seventh-Day Adventist Primary (SDA) and Sister Regina Primary. The volunteers go to the schools to teach the pupils netball. As of now, the response has been excellent, with full participation from pupils, parents and teachers at the matches.
The tournament continues on June 17 when Sister Borgia Primary does battle against JAG from 3:15pm, St. Dominic Primary takes on St. Joseph from 3:50pm, Sister Borgia versus Hillside Christian Primary from 4:30pm and SDA faces up to BFM from 5:10pm.
