   Obsession lands  largest Wahoo

SABA—Obsession, from St. Barths won Largest Fish Caught in the Saba Day Wahoo Tournament.

A new record was set as at 12:01pm 30 boats head off shore to fish. The catch of the day had to be back at the dock by 4:00pm.

There were 136 participants in total, with St. Barths having 13 boats, Saba with 10, St. Maarten with three, St. Eustatius with two and both St. Kitts and Nevis with one each. 

Obsession with the largest fish weighing in at 51.5 pounds won a cash prize of $2,500.

O’Top Sea, also from St. Barth's most fish caught at 175 lbs, securing to collect a prize of $2,000. Opportunity from St. Eustatius landed 131.5 pounds and receive $1500.

Cash prizes were also given out for best dressed crew (Bridgette) and best Junior Angler (Preston Tenholt), in addition to trophies and gift certificates for fuel to the overall winners. 

The tournement kicks off the third edition of the Wahoo Food Fest from December 5 to 10 as local restaurants utilize the wahoo that were caught over the weekend.
