Parris wins St. Maarten 9-Ball Championship

SUCKER GARDEN—Michael Parris is the St. Maarten National Billiards Federation’s 2015 9-Ball Champion. Parris defeated Joey Priest in the final 9-3 at Café Rembrandt.


The four round competition began July 13 with matches held at both Café Rembrandt and the 8/9 Pool Bar.
Parris advanced to the final after defeating Robby York in the semi 8-2. Priest advanced besting Junior Philips. Philips forfeited with the scored tied at 4-4.
A total of 14 players entered the championship.
The St. Maarten National Billiards Federation has divided their shooters into two divisions. The elite eight compete in the Top League, while the remaining players shoot it out in the A-Ranking Division.
