Former Major League Baseball player Rafel Skeete from St. Maarten has returned to the Friendly Island to host two weeklong baseball clinics.
A morning session will be held at John Cooper Jose Lake Sr. Ballpark starting at 9:00am and an afternoon clinic at the Little League Stadium on Pond Island starting at 2:30pm. Cost of the training is US $150. Skeete signed with the Baltimore Orioles in 1985 and later played for the Milwaukee Brewers. He was inducted into the Caribbean Baseball Hall of Fame in 2001 and served as the head coach Moon Valley High School in Phoenix Arizona in 2002 and 2003. He now is of the part Warriors Sports Academy in Atlanta that works to prepare young athletes mentally and physically for college.
