Rique-Lee Rosalia-Liu (red) from St. Maarten spars to win a gold medal. Athletes from the King Yen Taekwondo School under the direction of Grandmaster Theo Liu won six gold medals, eight silver medals and one Bronze medal in North Carolina.
More than 500 athletes representing all 50 United States plus Aruba, Canada, India, Puerto Rico, St. Croix, US Virgin Islands and Team St. Maarten competed at the Global Open Taekwondo Festival. The team is set to fly back to St. Maarten this afternoon.
