MARIGOT—Association SXM Sport Movement disclosed that the St. Martin Softball team won all its games at a Softball tournament held in Guadeloupe last month where teams from Guadeloupe, French Guiana, and Martinique also participated.
The St. Martin team came away with the lion’s share of cups and medals, winning Best Batter, Best Pitcher and Best Catcher. SXM Sport Movement was particularly proud of this trip abroad that was made possible by the Sports Department of the Collectivité and the Préfecture of the Northern Islands.
The Softball team and President of SXM Sport Movement, Julius Richardson, presented a cup to Préfet Serge Gouteyron and a trophy to Head of the Collectivité’s Sport Department, Wendy Gumbs, during a ceremony in the Préfecture.
