Wave of pink runners sweep through Marigot for La Saint-Martinoise 5K

MARIGOT--Avenir Sportif Club’s fifth edition of La Saint-Martinoise 5K run and walk held on Saturday exclusively for women drew 255 participants, organisers noted, and the record was broken in the Under 40 category by Cecilia Mobuchon from Inter Generation Runners completing the distance in 20:58.
  Felicia Paines of the Future Sportif Club was second in 22:07 and Sarah Houtsema third in 22:36.


  The over 40 category was won by Sarah Celestine (22:31), second went to Catherine Guerrard in 24:02 and third Sandra Vadeleux in 24:39.
  The mother and daughter category was won by Les Lyonnaises (Romane and Pascal Tschirhart) in 23:26, Cookie was second (Aline and Maelys Chauvin) and third Les Merlettes (Magalie and Tamara Merle) (27:24).
  The 5K walk was won by Carla Fontaine in 41:31, second was Emma Gesbert (41:34) and third Julie Peronin (41:36).
  All participants received medals and diplomas for completing the race. In addition many prizes were won during the raffle. The event was opened by Vice-President Rosette Gumbs-Lake.
