~ Carrot and Argan Oil Youth Balm ~
We're in that time of year when schools are closed, the kids are on vacation, many families are jetting off island to hopefully get a little R&R. If you happen to be jetting off, especially to one of the "colder" countries that experiences the four seasons or has a few cold days in summertime, and definitely many cool or cold nights for us Caribbean dwellers, then you might want to consider taking St. Maarten Nectar's Carrot & Argan Oil Youth Balm with you.
Don't you just love the name?! This super rich and dense night moisturizer for the skin really delivers. No matter what I do when I travel, my face dries out from the flight, especially those long eight-hour plus flights to Europe. This youth balm has helped me to fight the dehydrating effects of flying big time. Not only that, but my usually oily skin turns sort of dry in other countries with less humidity and cooler or colder nights, so much so that my skin flakes, usually around my nose and lower cheeks. It's strange for me as I'm used to my oily skin – must be the drying effects of travelling and different temperatures and humidity. This youth balm is great to travel with because it's not messy – no spills; it is dense like a lip balm, and you need just a little bit.
You take a little bit of this very thick and dense balm and rub it in your hands till it melts, then massage it into your face. It is all natural and will not make your skin oily (I have oily skin, I know). Once you've massaged it all in, in upward motions, of course, go to bed and check the effects in the morning. It really does wonders for your skin. And, of course, over time, if you use this very rich and healing balm overnight, you will start to see more improvements in your skin.
Argan Oil
With its high vitamin E and fatty acid content, Argan oil is the ideal product to give skin a natural boost. It's a great natural moisturizer as it absorbs easily, is non-greasy and non-irritating. Its anti-oxidant effect makes Argan oil the ideal anti-ageing product; leaving skin with a youthful glow and reducing the visibility of wrinkles. How does it do this? By restoring elasticity, leaving the skin feeling softer and plumper. Those with dry skin conditions like eczema can benefit from the repair that Argan oil can do to damaged skin by providing it with nutrients which will prevent further dryness and irritation. Argan oil also contains skin-soothing ingredients. Applying a small amount of Argan directly to afflicted skin and gently massaging can provide relief and encourage healing.
Carrot Oil
Used in skin creams to nourish, tighten, revitalize and rejuvenate skin, carrot oil visibly improves skin tone, elasticity, and general skin health. It claims to slow the progression of visible wrinkles. Carrot seed oil is calming and appropriate for irritated skin. It is a good, essential oil for anyone who spends time outdoors. Carrot seed oil has high activity antioxidant properties. Since carrot seed oil contains carotene and vitamin A, it is also very good for healthy skin, hair, gums and teeth and is also associated with good eyesight. Now you know why St. Maarten Nectar's Youth Balm claims that "you will wake up to an uplifted, rested and regenerated face." Indeed! One of my favourite travelling essentials!
