Father's Day
~ What are you doing to show you care? ~
Sunday, June 21, is Father's Day, when you show your love and appreciation for the most special man in your life. How are you celebrating it? If you don't know, that's okay; here are some ideas:
Bring him breakfast in bed
It doesn't have to be anything fancy; a bowl of his favourite cereal is great with your own handmade card, and lots of hugs.
A card with chore coupons
These can be anything from one free car wash to taking out the garbage.
A jar of his favourite candy
Decorate the outside with stickers and a tag saying, "You're the sweetest dad around..." or, "You're favourite for my favourites."
A hand-painted rock paper weight
Find a rock and wash it well, then paint on it "Dad Rocks!" or another cool design.
Picture collage
Print out your favourite pictures of you and your dad together then cut them out and glue them onto a card board backing. Use lots of glitter and stickers to make it look extra awesome. Don't forget to add a message to it. It can be as simple as, "To Dad", signed "Love, _____" (enter your name).
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what you do, or if you do nothing at all. Just let your father know you love him and appreciate what he does. If you don't have a dad, that's okay, use Father's Day to celebrate Mum's extra role, or celebrate it with the man you admire and/or appreciate the most in your life.
