This is a fun craft that can be used as a mobile. The snowflakes will need some strong adult fingers to do the cutting.

Scissors
Liquid food colouring
Toothpicks

Instructions
Fold a paper towel into squares and cut out edges to make a snowflake.
Pour a little milk onto a bread plate.
Drip a few drops of different food colouring in different areas of the plate of milk.
Swirl the food colouring around with toothpicks.
Watch how the colours swirl together.
Open a snowflake and lay it across the plate so the paper lies in the milk.
Watch how the colours creep through the paper snowflake in a marbled way.
Drape the wet snowflakes across cookie cooling racks that have been placed over a tray lined with paper towel to catch any drips.
Let the snowflakes dry completely.
