Veggie Bowls
Adult supervision is needed as this requires the use of a knife.
Ingredients:
1 green, yellow, or red pepper, washed
1 bunch of celery, washed
1 carrot, washed and peeled
Your favourite salad dressing
Method:
1. Cut the pepper in half (from side to side) so you have two half pieces. Clean out the seeds and pieces of pith from the inside. One half will be a pepper-shaped bowl.
2. Cut the other half into thin slices.
3. Cut the carrot into thin sticks about 10cm long.
4. Cut celery into sticks that are also about 10cm long.
5. Put some salad dressing into the bottom of the pepper bowl.
6. Put the rest of the long sticks of celery, carrots and peppers into the bowl made from the pepper. Pull out each veggie stick one at a time. As you do, the dressing will stick to each piece. Eat them with a little dressing.
7. When you're finished with the veggies, you can eat the bowl!
8. Make sure you have enough dressing to make the bowl extra tasty.
