Animal Defenders’ Annual “Doggie Walk” this Sunday!

Animal Defenders’ Annual “Doggie Walk” this Sunday!

Mark your calendar for this Sunday, December 15, because Santa “Paws” is coming to town. The event takes place on the Boardwalk in Philipsburg starting at 9:00am at the Walter Plantz Square and finishing off near the Sint Rose Arcade in front of Taloula Mango’s / Blue Bitch Bar.

There is no other event that brings together our Friendly Island community with their cheerful doggies in such a festive way – so bring your doggie and bring your camera. It doesn’t matter if your doggie has been naughty or nice, because even the Grinch has a dog! Get creative, get humorous, get cute, get dressed up in holiday attire – and get your “best friend’ your “fur-baby” dressed up too!

Who knows, you may just win the “Best Dressed Doggie Parent” or “Best Dressed Doggie” award. There will also be a great raffle, which means more chances to win some very nice prizes! All dogs should come on a leash – and all kids are welcome with supervision please.

Last year’s event was a success with so many “Santa’s Little Yelpers” – so come early to register yourself with your doggie(s) before the parade leaves.

Happy ‘Howl-idays’!

Registration fee per dog is a donation of US $5. All donations will be for the stray dogs and cats through Animal Defenders St. Maarten. Call +1(721) 553-3116 for more information.
