It’s that time of the year again!

Seems like when it rains it pours; and this is the time of year for lots of performing arts events!

If you are trying to keep up with all the possible shows going around the island in the coming weeks, you might be getting confused. That’s where Out ’n About steps in with a handy listing just for you and your calendar.

Choir Concert: Saturday, June 9, 8:00pm at the Catholic Church in Marigot.

This annual end-of-season concert of the Charlie Par Choeur singers features songs in English, French, Spanish, Russian, Italian and Swahili. You’ll hear music of every genre including classical, jazz, folk and popular. Tickets are €10 and can be purchased from choir members or at Pianissimo Music School in Marigot.

High School Musical: Sunday, June 10, 4:00pm Matinee or 7:00pm Gala at Belair Community Centre.

Young and talented singers of R.F. Hart Musical Foundation take the stage to present the popular songs from this much-adored musical. Tickets are on sale for US $30 at The Mailbox, Van Dorp, from any of the cast members and at the door.

The Government Inspector Play: June 15, 16, 17, 8:00pm Friday/Saturday and 4:00pm Sunday at Philipsburg Cultural Centre.

Presented by Behind the Beyond Community Theatre, this classic Russian play meets Caribbean comedy with a French flavour. Tickets are available for $20 from cast members.

Laugh til Belly Burst: June 22 & 23, 8:00pm at the Port de Plaisance Tent.

This show’s name says it all, crazy comedy and ticklish talent performing live on stage, with side-splitting effects. You’ve been warned. Tickets are available at UTS, Van Dorp, Tackling Sol Gas Station, and Chez Coco (Marigot Waterfront) for $35. Tickets at the door are $45.
