“Artists should break the rules!”

~ Exhibition by NoCo Art Gallery & Studio ~

If you are an art lover, then make your way down to NoCo Art Gallery for an exhibition this Saturday.

NoCo Art Studio in Terres Basses (French Lowlands) is opening its doors this Saturday, December 7, from 6:00pm to 10:00pm for the group show entitled “Artists should break the rules!”

The show brings together unique artworks created by painters Colin Bootman, Corinna Trimborn, Jimmy Lucero, Nathalie Lepine and Norma Trimborn, and sculptors Carla & Mark Templeton. Together with the surrounding sculpture garden, it stands as a testimony of the artists’ chosen media of paint, wood, metal and ceramic.

“Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist.” ~Pablo Picasso

All seven artists here have spent many years developing, exploring and advancing their art. Now it's their time to break the rules!

Colin creates vivid realistic portraits and landscapes. Corinna is painting impressionistic landscapes, flora and seascapes. Jimmy’s style is unique in that he freely moves from geometric structures to flowing abstract realism. Nathalie’s landscapes and elegant figures are timeless and – together with Norma’s powerful and intense abstract oil paintings – this exhibition has a broad variety of painting expressions. Also being shown, are the unique sculptures by Carla and Mark Templeton. They use the skills of metal and wood fabrication and the fine work of creating ceramics.

The studio is located at 39 Falaise des Oiseaux – the road to Plum Bay Beach. Drive to the French side from Cupecoy, continue to go straight, and do not turn left for La Samanna. Go left only where you see “Terres Basses” written on the wall, on your left-hand side, you go through the manned security gate. It’s then straight on to the third gate on the left! An open gate and a sign “Art Show Open” will welcome you. Park outside along the street.
