After walking into the serene restaurant, you are greeted by the super friendly staff and a million-dollar view of the hustle and bustle of the Boardwalk and the turquoise waters of Great Bay. The atmosphere is very welcoming and it is clear that the staff members will do everything in their power to make their customers happy. They clearly know what they’re doing and take great pride in providing excellent service. The staff is proud of their restaurant, and it is easy to see why.
When asked what makes her restaurant stand out, owner Seema Mirchandani Vaswani, whom we know from her successful Coffee Lounge locations, smiles. “It’s everything: the ambiance, the view, the staff, and the quality of the food and drinks.”
Bold Buddha’s cool air-conditioned atmosphere offers respite from hot Philipsburg, but there is also a lovely patio if you prefer to enjoy the Caribbean breeze. The conveniently located restaurant is a perfect spot for a workday lunch or after-work drinks and tapas. And, its modern yet cosy ambiance is great for business meetings and family outings.
The restaurant can boast bold and original dishes with unique food presentation. Their food is fresh, tasty, and scrumptious; the flavours and textures are well-balanced. And the staff has no problem explaining the menu in detail and personalizing dishes to your taste/preference.
For breakfast, patrons can choose from three breakfast platters: a jumbo platter, mini platter or vegan breakfast platter. The best part? Everyone receives a free mimosa with their breakfast order in August and September.
For lunch and dinner, you can enjoy their daily specials or a wide variety of burgers, salads and sandwiches, including chicken, beef, fish or vegan options.
But don’t forget our favourite part of the well-thought-out menu: the large and diverse selection of tasty tapas. Think tostones with guacamole and meatballs or shrimp, fried gouda rings, crispy cauliflower bites, Asian wings or mini camemberts with goji berry sauce.
Bold Buddha would not be bold without their full-service bar with unique cocktails, great bartenders and an extensive wine list. On Thursdays, patrons can enjoy live singers and $4 cocktails from 5:00pm and Saturdays are for unlimited wine and tapas samples from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
