Winners launch new single ‘Believe in love’
The 2015 TelCell Breakthrough Talent Search winners released their anticipated new single at TelEm Group’s headquarters just last week amongst proud project organisers and management. The group also shot the music video for the single this past weekend and will be releasing the video online soon.
The branding of the youngsters started at the beginning of this year with their pictures displayed at several school areas. The song fuses instruments, vocals, rap and dance. This year, beat-boxing was added to the mix. The winners have embarked on a one-year “dream programme” and have honed their artistic talents further, making appearances at various entertainment events and featuring in company promotions.
Winners Aldi Farrell (instruments), Rumari Rogers (rapping), Lian Borsje (dance), Kyanni Atmpawiro (vocals) and Paul Brown (beat-boxing) thanked TelEm for its support for the project and said this was an unforgettable experience.
“This was an amazing group and we will have a tough time to top it this year for season four,” said Xtratight Entertainment Managing Director Berteau “Mr. Rude” Fleming, who provided beats and concepts for them to choose from, and formed the production to make it more commercial. He said he was proud of the production having a different concept, because artistes “need to be noticed and come out with their own style and identity.”
Team coordinator Angel Richardson said the winners should keep pushing for their dreams, stay focused, keep experimenting and continue to be positive role models for the youth. Special thanks went to mentor David Evans, and the TelEm Group marketing team for assisting in the show’s success.
The winners said they were very happy with the outcome of their work and that they had seen new opportunities open up and had created new bonds together. Richardson also called on government to construct a performing arts centre as soon as possible, as there is a lot of talent on the island and the artistes need a home.
TelEm management said they were proud to see the youngsters pursuing their dreams and told the artistes they were welcome to come back if they needed any assistance. The song will be played on the radio starting this week.
