~ 2nd edition Creative Apparel Competition ~
The 2nd edition of the Creative Paper Apparel Competition hosted by Our Creations St. Maarten Arts & Crafts Foundation will take place on October 8, at 8:00pm, at Philipsburg Cultural Center.
Creative Paper Apparel is a fun and creative way to make beautiful designs from materials at our disposal that don’t even cost that much. It’s not only possible to make a dress out of linen, cotton or any of these typical clothing fabrics; you can also create beautiful clothing from paper.
Think of items such as newspaper, cardboard, napkins, paper towels and even toilet paper. A total of seven participants will choose to compete in various categories that include Cultural, Evening and Bridal wear.
There will be live performances during the evening by one of the 2015 TelCell Breakthrough winners (Kyanni Atmopawir) and other local singers. Snacks and drinks will be on sale during the show.
Come on out with your family and friends and enjoy a fun-filled evening. Tickets will be on sale at both Van Dorp locations (Madame Estate & Simpson Bay), the Arts & Crafts Foundation store and at the door on the evening of the show. See you on Saturday!
