On beautiful Grand Case beach
Established in 2013 on the beach in Grand Case, it’s a party that has attracted more than 2,000 people. Fete de la Mer or Festival of the Sea takes advantage of the natural beauty of Grand Case – a large protected bay and just offshore stands Creole Rock, known for its beautiful sea life, a living frame lined with restaurants and magic sunsets.
Come out on Saturday and Sunday to fully benefit from the many water-sport activities. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover the range of water sports available on the island and meet with the experts. Kayak, stand-up-paddle, introduction to swimming, sail on a Hobie Cat, windsurf, paddle a Hawaiian canoe.
Try scuba diving, snorkelling, riding in a glass bottom boat or a motorboat or a sailboat (monohull and catamaran); or experience a bouncy ride on the banana boat. You can even try water skiing, wakeboarding, jet skiing ... in a spirit of conviviality, Festival of the Sea is for everyone: beginners or experienced, young or old, athletes or those who are practitioners for the day only.
The organizers stress that their first concern is to respect the village of Grand Case and its inhabitants, as well as maintaining the safety rules and regulations and, of course, the environment.
Water performances will be scheduled for the two days. There will be musical entertainment and activities on the large installed pontoon on the beach – bouncy castle, trampoline ... and cocktails to close the event on Sunday evening. Meet partners, sponsors and organizers in a musical atmosphere provided by a local group at the Blue Martini!
All these activities have a price but – fear not – it’s so reasonably affordable! Notebooks of 10 tickets will be sold on site: 1 ticket = €1 and each activity will be a number of tickets. This year’s proceeds will be split between the deserving young Saint Martin athlete participants in national or international competitions.
