Bike-a-thon
~ Glow in the dark fun ride in Simpson Bay ~
This fun event is taking place this Saturday, September 20, at 7:00pm. Plan, book and join in a very special bike ride over the Causeway and through Simpson Bay.
The gathering place is at Port de Plaisance. Everyone from the age of being able to ride a bike up to being a grandparent can participate! (Children under 10 must have adult supervision.) If you don't have a bike, don't worry, the problem is easily solved as you can rent one from Tri-sports. Contact them soon to ensure your bike.
The cost for this event is $30 which includes a T-shirt, glow sticks, water and snacks. Tickets can be purchased from Van Dorp or alternately, the package can be delivered to you.
You can upgrade the night of the event for $15, which will give you two more glow lights to put on your bike.
LED strips containing individual LED lights are fixed to the wheels and spokes of the bike! Rechargeable batteries come with the package, meaning you will have these lights for quite some time. These lights make the bike really visible at night; they look stunning when the bike wheels spin, keeping the wheels illuminated while you ride.
This glow in the dark bike-a-thon is being held to raise funds for I Can Foundation and the Lab Sports Academy.
