During the holidays, Karakter has a few special events going on that you cannot miss!
On Friday, December 25, Karakter will have a Special Evening Christmas Menu. The first seating is at 6:00pm and the second seating at 8:00pm. For just $60, the menu includes a four-course meal with many choices such as pumpkin soup with a parmesan crisp, duck breast on a mushroom tapenade crostini, stuffed turkey with a bacon apple and mushroom stuffing served with roasted sweet potatoes and vegetables and strawberry and cranberry crème brûlée! A welcome drink is also included in the price.
On Thursday, December 31, Karakter is hosting a special barbeque buffet in the evening. The kitchen will close at 8:00pm. On Friday, January 1, at 2:00pm, the famous New Year’s dive & party will help you kick off 2016 the right way. The party will be hosted in collaboration with Antillean Liquors, Jägermeister and Bavaria. A special menu, including the much-anticipated “erwten-soep” will be available.
As of January 2, it will be business as usual; and on Sunday, January 3, at 2:00pm, the weekly beach party with two DJs will make you dance in the sand. The night will continue with a performance of K'Banna till 10:00pm.
The restaurant now has additional parking available and a free shuttle to and from the beach. Located on one of the most beautiful beaches of St. Maarten, the mile-long Simpson Bay Beach, Karakter is usually open from 9:00am till 10:00pm seven days a week.
