Kite Workshop & Kite Flying Competition

Do you want to learn how to make a kite and hold it up into the sky? This is your chance! Young and old can join Beyond Kultura in their kite workshop and kite flying competition. You can participate individually or as a school. This event is part of the SXM DOET days.

The kite making workshop takes place on Friday, March 11, 9:00am to 5:00pm at Bible Baptist Church, Arch Road, Sucker Garden. And the competition takes place on Saturday, March 12, at 1:00pm when the kite makers will bring their kites to take to the sky at the field next to the Baseball Field near Festival Village.

Right after the kite flying competition, prizes will be awarded for the prettiest, biggest and longest-in-the-sky kite! Snacks and drinks will also be available.
