Philipsburg will once again come alive this summer. On Thursdays, GoLocal XL: The Great Bay Shopping Experience, formerly known as Koop Avond, will showcase the best of what the island has to offer in terms of shopping, food and music.
This event will take place in the heart of Philipsburg, starting this evening, July 4, and continuing every Thursday evening until August 1, from 5:00 to 10:00. Xtratight Entertainment is thrilled to announce the event, which promises an unforgettable experience with more than 50 vendors showcasing a variety of products and delicious food, from clothing and homemade jewellery to a kiddies corner, for the little ones, and Ital food.
“Make sure to bring your wallets and your appetites as our vendors are ready to delight and satisfy,” the organisers say.
There will be live music, bringing a different genre to keep the excitement fresh every week. The line-up is filled with local bands alongside DJ Chubs and CD Rankin that will rotate alternatively every week. The main headliner, reggae icon Percy Rankin, will hit the stage for the first edition tonight.
Coordinators say they are excited to present special headliners each week. On July 11, the Tonez Band and Strykly Music will provide sweet tunes. On July 18, the 3 Plus 1 Band will take the stage, on July 25, the See5 Band will perform, and on August 1, the legendary Control Band will get everyone out on the dancefloor.
GoLocal XL will be a free event, making it the perfect outing for families to enjoy an evening filled with shopping, music and community spirit. Xtratight Entertainment invites everyone to join in and celebrate the largest shopping experience in Philipsburg.
