Organized by the Department of Sports in collaboration with the National Sports Institute and Sint Maarten Sports and Olympic Federation, the aim of Brown Pelican Sports Awards is to bring awareness to the various persons and organizations within the community who have contributed positively to sports and who have excelled within the sporting arena.
Under the slogan #SPORTSMATTER, this year’s awards ceremony will honour our resilient athletes on the island. The organizing committee is encouraging the general public to come out in honour and appreciation of our local athletes and sporting organizations on Sunday, November 18, at the Princess Port De Plaisance tent. Cocktail reception starts at 4:30pm with the Awards Ceremony beginning promptly at 5:00pm.
Tickets are US $10 and all proceeds go directly to National Sports Institute for the repairing and rebuilding of our local sports facilities. Tickets are available at both Van Dorp locations (Madame Estate and Simpson Bay) and at National Sports Institute at the Raoul Illidge Sports Complex in Cay Hill.
